For more than a decade, we've earned a strong reputation for supplying high-quality, professionally maintained bikes that offer exceptional value and long-term reliability. Our fleet is never used on salty winter roads, helping to preserve the condition of the frames and components. Throughout the summer season, each bike is washed and serviced after every single trip to ensure it stays in excellent mechanical condition.
Lights, pump, tube, levers, seatpack all included
Before being offered for sale, every bike undergoes a thorough deep clean, a full service, and a final inspection. Fresh new tyres have been fitted and brake pads, chain, cassette, grips and pedals replaced as appropriate. This year we're even including essential accessories like lights, pump, tube, levers and seatpack so you will be ready to ride right away (with your own helmet).
For more info and to browse detailed pictures and info for each bike currently available for sale, see our dedicated website for used bike sales. The bikes have picked up some scratches of course and we've tried to show that fairly in the pictures.
To arrange a viewing please get in touch. We are happy to arrange shipping to any UK address for an extra £50. Currently we can't send eBikes though. Call 01463 419160 or email us to find out more or arrange a test ride.
All bikes are cleaned and serviced after each hire, then given a complete service and pre-sale inspection prior to being offered for sale.
Every bike comes with brand-new tyres and up-to £150 worth of essential accessories, including lights, a pump, a spare tube, a rack, and a kickstand.
We don't give you a formal written warranty but if you are not happy with your purchase, you know where to find us and we will do our best to make it right.
The Trek Powerfly 4 is a really versatile eBike or eMTB. At its core is a hardtail mountain eBike but it is sold with a touring set-up including mudguards, luggage rack, touring tyres and kickstand. We also include a set of off-road tyres so you can have the best of both worlds. It is a 1x10 Shimano Deore drivetrain and an SR Suntour suspension fork with lockout.

We have added luggage rack, mudguards, kickstand and two bottle cages and these are included with the sale. It's a hardtail electric mountain bike underneath and if you take the mudguards off and fit the included mountain bike tyres it becomes an outright eMTB.

The power comes from a Bosch Performance CX (250 W, 85 Nm) motor that assists up to 15 mph (25 km/h) paired with a Bosch Purion controller and a 500Wh integrated but removable battery. Range depends on a multitude of factors but we have had customers reporting up to 50 miles / 80km even with panniers. We have a device that tests the batteries and they still have 93%+ of their original capacity.
Finding the right terminology for bikes these days can be a struggle. These bikes could reasonably be described as road, sportive, touring or gravel bikes. They are the ideal road bike for most leisure cyclists and popular with riders in the Etape Loch Ness.
Trek Domane AL4 bike with touring tyres
They can be fitted with a luggage rack (not included) to carry panniers for longer tours like the North Coast 500 and can even take gravel tyres (35mm rear, 40mm front) for some gravel riding. In fact it was one of our Trek Domane AL4s that Markus Stitz used to make his film "Where Roads End", an exploration of gravel alternatives around the North Coast 500.
Gravel tyres up to 40mm can be fitted
We have a few sizes of 2022 Trek Domane AL4. They are all aluminium frames with carbon forks and Shimano Tiagra groupset. The Shimano Tiagra drivetrain is 2 by 10 speed, 11-32T cassette teamed with a compact, 50/34 chainset provides a wide range of gears. They've got Shimano Tiagra hydraulic disc brakes for reliability and assured stopping in all weather. These bikes have been a great success and are often bought by customers who have previously hired one.
The Trek FX2 Disc has a lightweight aluminium frame, wide ratio gears - (46/30T chainrings / 11-36T cassette), hydraulic disc brakes, mudguards and a luggage rack suitable for panniers. Without the rack and mudguards the FX2 Disc could be termed a "fitness" bike, meaning a fast tarmac bike with straight handlebars.
Trek FX2 Disc with accessories included
We have added luggage rack, mudguards and two bottle cages and these are included with the sale. It's a really adaptable platform though and if you took the mudguards off and fitted nobbly cyclocross tyres it becomes a very capable "gravel" or "adventure" bike... or add panniers and you've got a touring bike ready for the North Coast 500 or even Lands End to John O'Groats!
Brand new 35mm touring tyres fitted
These bikes are very practical, versatile and reliable. We have had similar bikes in the fleet every year since 2007 and I still see bikes we sold ages ago in use around the town. A couple of years ago we sold a pair to a Kiwi couple who have since cycled John O'Graots to Lands End then on through France, Spain, Italy, Germany and The Netherlands in the years since.
Our Trek Marlin 7 hardtail mountain bikes come with 1 x 10 drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes and suspension forks with lockout. They are perfect for the Great Glen Way, Culbin Forest or any of the mountain bike trail centres in the Scottish Highlands. Larger sizes are 29ers and the smaller ones have 27½ wheels.
